Wausau Whitewater makes an impact within the Wausau Community through the coordination of beginner through advanced training and instruction of Whitewater Kayak and Canoe, and also Swiftwater Rescue. We pride ourselves on teaching safety of swiftwater and safety guidelines for whitewater to make the experience enjoyable for everyone. In 2017, 12 Recreational paddling days will provide experienced paddlers the opportunity to enjoy the course at their leisure, and training is offered for newbies on many of these dates. Whitewater rivers are rare in the Midwest and often during summers with little rain, Wausau becomes the only place for whitewater enthusiasts to enjoy this wonderful recreational activity. Finally: this is always free to spectators!
