Greater Wausau Christian Services

Greater Wausau Christian Services, is a community of congregations that brings Christian compassion and hope to individuals and families in elder care facilities, the Marathon County Jail, and the Marathon County Juvenile Facility.

We are funded by 13 congregations in the community. We go the the county jail, juvenile detention center and to many of the nursing homes and assisted living facilities in our community. We provide Bible studies, worship services, and musical sensory services to the elder care community. At the jail we provide worship services, Bible studies, women's support group, and a cognitive restructuring program called Breaking Barriers. At the juvenile detention center we provide spiritual programming on Wednesdays and Sundays.
