UW-Madison Division of Extension Marathon County

Our mission is to extend the knowledge and resources of the University of Wisconsin-Madison to Marathon County residents.

Our staff provides programs in agriculture, horticulture, community and economic development, natural resources, and 4-H/youth development. We coordinate the 4-H Youth Development and Master Gardener Programs. Extension staff provides practical, educational programs tailored to local needs which are based on university knowledge and research. We deliver our expertise to the public, addressing a wide range of needs to people, plants and animals, in both urban and rural areas. We teach, learn, lead and serve, connecting people with the University of Wisconsin, and engaging with them in transforming lives and communities!
