Wisconsin Judicare, Inc., is a non-profit law firm dedicated to providing equal access to justice for northern Wisconsin's residents. Located in downtown Wausau's US Bank Building, Wisconsin Judicare, Inc., is the civil legal service provider for Wisconsin's northern 33 counties and 11 federally recognized Indian tribes. From its inception, Wisconsin Judicare has emphasized the utilization of the private bar to represent low-income persons in conjunction with on-staff attorneys.

What We Do

Wisconsin Judicare provides legal assistance to low-income individuals in civil cases, such as family, landlord/tenant, and public benefits cases. There is no fee for the use of Judicare services. Eligible individuals must complete an application for services. Typically, individuals must be below 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines to be eligible for Judicare services. Judicare cannot offer services to individuals who seek assistance with criminal matters, traffic tickets, malpractice, and other fee-generating cases.
