The Children’s Imaginarium is looking for volunteers to monitor cleanliness, safety, and security in exhibit and classroom area(s). Some responsibilities may inclide:

Assist with picking up museum props that may have been misplaced or are in need of being cleaned.  Assisting with laundry and washing museum props efficiently. Manage guest questions or concerns. Document and report incidents. Assist with additional cleaning and maintenance requests. Other duties as assigned.

STEM Lab volunteers will assist in running the STEM LAB during open hours by restocking needed items, organizing and cleaning the STEM LAB as needed, and being willing to assist families with the activities and answer questions. Depending on volunteer’s skill and comfort level, volunteers could also submit STEM activity suggestions or lead an activity or class. Volunteers will monitor cleanliness, safety, and security in exhibit and classroom area(s) and document and report incidents to leadership team. Volunteers will address any guest questions or concerns. Other duties as assigned.

Are you someone that enjoys volunteering on an as-needed basis due to time constraints? The Children’s Imaignarium is looking for Special Event Support Volunteers. Volunteers are contacted when there are additional needs for assisting with Fundraisers, Field Trips, Parties, and Private Events. Volunteers may be asked to volunteer on evenings and weekends for Fundraisers and private events.

Do you like being creative? The Children’s Imaignarium is looking for Special Project Volunteers to assist employees with STEM programming, creating fliers, assisting with marketing ideas and materials, assembling programming Kits, making copies, and a variety of clerical office tasks. Volunteers may also be asked to assist with tasks in Microsoft office suites – word, excel, power-point and other duties as assigned.

Are you looking to gain customer service skills? Do you enjoy greeting and interacting with children and families?

The Children’s Imaginarium is looking for Front Desk volunteers to assist with answering incoming calls in a professional and timely manner; transfer calls appropriately and efficiently, process payments for the museum using a point of sale system, maintain Welcome Desk and Lobby: stock brochures, remove trash, set-up and replace signage as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

Monitor cleanliness, safety, and security in exhibit and classroom area(s). Document and report incidents. Actively promote the museum by providing up-to-date information on Museum memberships, birthday parties, programs, events, and activities to visitors. Address guest questions or concerns. Other duties as assigned.

Do you enjoy being in a fun and fast paced environment interacting with children and families? The Children’s Imaginarium in downtown Wausau is seeking Exhibit Floor volunteers.

What you’ll do:

Volunteers will assist with monitoring cleanliness, safety, and security in exhibit and classroom area(s) and will document and report all incidents to leadership team. Volunteers will assist with guest questions or concerns and respond to requests for service or assistance. Volunteers will assist with organizing and picking up museum props that may have been misplaced or are in need of being cleaned. Volunteers will assist with laundry as needed. Volunteers will inform leadership team if there are any concerns with exhibits and props within the exhibits. Other duties may be assigned based on needs.
