The Gardens is the perfect place to spend Earth Day! Get outside and do a little spring cleaning with us! There is always a lot to do this time of year and we would love your help. Clean up the trails, pick up litter along the fenceline, do some raking, and more. Come out for a full two-hour shift, or drop by for however long you can!
Feel free to bring gloves, if you have them, and a water bottle. We will also have gloves and any tools you may need.
Our Garden Supervisor & Horticulturist, Pat, will meet you by the toolshed and provide direction and training. If you are new to volunteering at the Gardens, look for another staff member who will be stationed closer to the parking lot at 1901 N 4th Ave. Walk straight from the parking lot toward the English and Kitchen Gardens. The staff member will direct you from there.
Any volunteers without a release form already on file will need to sign one at the start of their shift. Minors must be 16 years old to volunteer at the Gardens without a parent or guardian present. A parent or guardian must sign a release form on their behalf.
This volunteer day may be canceled or adjusted in the case of inclement weather or a late winter. You will be notified of any changes by email.
