Volunteer: Deliver Meals on Wheels to Older Adults!Meals on Wheels is a program for adults 60 and older who are considered homebound and either do not have access to healthy food or are unable to make a healthy meal for themselves. The ADRC-CW delivers hot meals Monday-Friday, starting between 9:45 am- 10:15 am. Most routes take an hour to an hour and a half. Help us make sure older adults get a hot meal delivered! Become a Meals on Wheels Volunteer Driver. Volunteers can help deliver meals once a week, or even just once a month. Helping an hour a month has a tremendous impact! Groups are encouraged to apply! Grab some friends or a group from the office or church. Pick a day and route to "adopt" and rotate the driver among your group. This is a great way to make a difference in the community and share the time commitment with a group. We have volunteers that are just on a "substitute" status and are willing to help out if someone is sick or is out on vacation. Are you gone for the winter or only available during certain times of the year? Connect with us! We have a variety of schedules and we want to work to make your available time work so you can get involved. Application and background checks are required. Training is provided. A reliable vehicle & clean driving record are also required.
