Wausau Area Mobile Meals

The mission of Mobile Meals is to promote good health among the elderly, convalescing and/or disabled members of the greater Wausau area by delivering hot, nutritious meals with the help of volunteers.

Wausau Area Mobile Meals delivers a hot nutritional meal over the noon hour, 5 days a week in the greater Wausau Area, including the city of Wausau, Rib Mountain, Schofield, Rothschild and parts of Weston.

All of our meals are prepared by Aspirus Wausau Hospital and can be catered to a persons specific diet, such as Cons Carb, Lo Sodium, Renal, etc. 

Each Meal contains the following:
- An entree - Chicken, Beef, Pork, or Fish
- A starch - potato, rice, or pasta
- A vegetable
- Salad
- Bread
- Dessert or fruit
- Milk or juice

Our meals are $5.25 per meal and we bill at the end of the month.  For those that cannot afford the full price, there is limited funding from the United Way and other sources to help subsidize the price.  It is our policy to provide meals to all eligible persons regardless of their ability to pay.

Mobile Meals provides one hot meal, prepared at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and delivered by volunteers, Monday through Friday. Drivers meet around 11 AM and have usually completed their route before 12:15. Our service area includes the greater Wausau area. Volunteers are needed to drive one route, once a week. A volunteer may also be trained on several routes and serve as a substitute as needed and as your time allows. Corporate/Agency/Club volunteers make excellent teams allowing many to participate with minimum time commitment. Give us a call for more information.
