PPA-Partnership for Progressive Agriculture

PPA is a local level agriculture committee. This public/private collaboration exists to promote, educate, advocate and influence the economic development of the Marathon County agriculture industry. The partnership for progressive agriculture is open to anyone who is passionate about making a difference on the issues that affect Marathon County agriculture.

The PPA has two volunteer-driven sub committees: Education & Promotions--Functions as the Marathon County Dairy Promotions Council through Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board; Hosts the Ag Adventure Tent at the Wisconsin Valley Fair; Plans and implements the June Dairy Breakfast; Hosts the Farm City Dinner. Economic Development & Advocacy--Promotes and supports the Dairyland State Academy; Identifies key issues and hosts roundtable discussions with industry experts; Partners with UW-Extension to provide educational seminars and tours; Leadership in advocacy on issues that are important to agriculture.
