Marathon County Parks, Recreation, And Forestry

Parks, Recreation, and Forestry provides a park and forest recreation system that will meet the needs of our citizens and future generations, preserve and protect the county's open space, water, historical, cultural, natural and economic resources, and provide recreation and tourism opportunities that are designed to enhance residents' quality of life.

This department provides services for both the City of Wausau and Marathon County. It includes park operations and maintenance, customer service, county and city forestry, recreation, and administration divisions.
