Who We Are

Mission: McLit - Improving the quality of life through literacy.

We are a nonprofit organization offering free tutoring and instructional services through our network of volunteer tutors and programs to community members in Marathon County and surrounding areas. 515 N. 3rd Street Wausau Next to Janke Bookstore 1-715-679-6170 (call or text)

We help with: reading, math, writing, English as a Second Language, Citizenship, HSED/GED, resumes, job hunting, researching apartments, applications, free Wi-Fi. Free services, no appointment needed, walk-ins welcomed.

What We Do

Some of our tutoring subjects include:

• Reading - Writing - GED/HSED

• Math - Finance - Citizenship

• Health - Workforce - Joseph Project

• Computers - English as a Second Language - Drivers License written test

We help all in our area improve their literacy so that they may reach their goals, whether it is career advancement or simply being able to read a book to their children.
