We are hosting a Spelling Bee to highlight the mission of improving the quality of life through literacy to help lift those in need and help transform their life. Additional services include drivers' education assistance, financial literacy, and health literacy. Basically, anything to help an individual who comes into the doors! Nearly 1,000 people access these impactful services annually right here in Wausau.
I am looking for volunteers to fill the following roles. If you or you know someone who can help (please share to anyone!), that would be greatly appreciated. This will be a spectacular and fun event for our community!
We are seeking volunteers to fill these roles:
(1) Pronouncer - Reads the word to the teams
(2) Judges - They will determine if the participant spells the word correctly
(1) Timekeeper - They will 15 seconds, will verify with judges they met time requirements
(1) Scribe - write down the letters as the person is spelling it
Date: October 22
Time: 6PM - 8PM
Location: Wausau Labor Temple
Teams: 12 total teams. Teams consist of 2 members each. (there are still a few team spaces remaining)
