At Interim Hospice, patient volunteers are available to help our patients and their families by lending a hand and being a friendly face while visiting. They serve as integral members of our hospice team and work in collaboration with the other team members. In addition to helping with daily tasks, they provide vital support and companionship. Some examples in which patient care volunteers help are:
- Daily activities such as
- Playing bingo or other games
- reminiscing on the past
- Arts & crafts
- Knitting, crocheting, sewing, etc.
- Watching favorite movies
- Reading
- Providing respite for the primary caregiver
