If you enjoy engaging with older adults, this opportunity could be perfect for you! We are looking for volunteer advocates to improve the lives of residents living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities in Lincoln county and the surrounding communities! Volunteer advocates make weekly unannounced visits to a designated nursing home or assisted living facility, observe general conditions, meet with residents to educate them about their rights and empower residents to resolve concerns on their own. Our volunteers are friendly visitors on a mission of advocacy! Training and materials are provided and ongoing support is always available. This opportunity is flexible. Visits are 1-2 hours in duration and can be made any day of the week between 8am-8pm. Please consider becoming a Volunteer Advocate with the State of Wisconsin Board on Aging and Long Term Care!
